Posted on 21st December 2010 in Uncategorized

The BAD Farm is family owned by Beth And Dave Rice & Sons in Kempton, PA. Dave started milking his own herd of cows in 1983. Beth And Dave got married in 1985 and started calling the farm B And D Farm; over the years it got shortened to BAD Farm.

Since then both the herd and the Rice family grew. In order to keep up with the times, changes needed to be made. In 2008, after a fire a new shop was built. IN 2009, the Rice’s middle son, Jason (Bubba), helped convince Beth and Dave to get their PA Raw Milk Permit. In 2010 the Rice family began getting cheese made from their very own raw milk.

The Rice Family has a 24/7 self service business on the BAD Farm premises we you can buy Raw Milk, Cheese, Cheese Dips, and Cage-Free Brown Eggs.

The Rice’s oldest son, Jake, does agricultural equipment repairs and their youngest son, Jordan, does small engine repair. Bubba is now working full-time on the farm after graduating from Morrisville State College with a major in dairy science.

You are always welcome to stop by and see what new products are available at the BAD Farm, and feel free to ask any questions about the farm and agriculture.
